Would someone like to verify my answers?

Volumes of revolution 12pi[ln25]

Weird tan question 225/322 (don't even ask)

Last question, range of g(x) > 2(k^0.5)

Simpsons rule 20.3

And can someone tell me the answers to the 1st modulus questions. I think I got it wrong along with pretty much the rest of the paper. :frown:

I agree with all your answers, except the tan one, I think I got it wrong. For the first question I got something along the lines of -3a and a fraction answer with it.

I got the same for volumes of revolution and the weird tan question! Couldn't do the last ones tho :frown:
that exam was evil
I did C4 last week with a raging cold and did better in that than C3 - whats going on

has anyone got any thoughts on the last question ?

I think it was e^2x + Ke^-2x and you had to find the range of the function?

Missed of the Pi on volumes of revolution...lose 1 mark maybe?
45000 rates of change

the tan question was a bit confusing, wasnt sure whether they wanted tanxcot2xtan4x on its own each or as a product, so i asummed a product.

9ib i got ln(3)^0.5/2, anyone get this?

Cant remember exact but i think the range i got was something like g(x) >= e^((lnk)^0.5) + ke^-((lnk)^0.5)

Overall i reacon i still should get an A

y> 2(k^0.5)

Had To Differentiate

You had to differentiate it to find the stationary point (from graph) and g(x)>stationary point.

g(x)>2(k^0.5)

What did people actually get for the first question?

For reference the first question was: |3x + 4a| = 5a, where a is a positive constant.

I just did +- (3x+4a) =5a, and got 3x = a and -1/3x= a

I think we needed x=? rather than what a is equal to

Damn, well thats 2 marks down the drain, prob would of got one mark for doing a relevant method.
What did everybody get for that horrible transformation of -4f(x+3) - question 2?
anyone get x>(ln3)/4 for the last question, part ii I think

My y coordinate was 24 and x...........something like -8 (for the stationary points)
I hope who ever created this paper burns in hell -_- It was barely anything like all the past papers... T.T

I think I got all of these the smae!

I think the modulus had a whole number on one side and a fraction (over three) on the other. Don't know if this helps :s-smilie:

Got this the same

I feel a lot better now, know i've done alright apart from the last questions- where i panicked frantically and went from differentiating and attempting to solve, as well as completing the square of an e lmao.
