Things like froth floatation and vacuum filtration were part of the legacy syllabus topic on metal ores etc. They won't come up in this exam.

-- If anything, they more likely to come up in the F334 exam on the 26th, but it is unlikely.

thats the normal ocr a f322 exam not the ocr salters b f332.

If anyone is interested why NO2 decreases but NO doesn't increase for the second part of the graph jump to page 17 of this: http://www.inl.gov/technicalpublications/Documents/4655304.pdf

"Photolytically-produced •NO3 and •NO2 radicals are reported to add to aromatic rings in the gas phase, resulting in nitrated aromatic products.[1,2,3] These addition reactions may be direct, or mediated by hydroxyl (•OH) radicals.[4,5] In the mediated mechanism, the initial addition reaction of the highly reactive •OH radical produces a hydroxylated cyclohexadienyl radical, which may then add •NOx as shown in equation 1.[1] The addition product eliminates water to form a stable nitrated aromatic product."

Since when were there 7 mark questions. That's pissed me off. Personally I think the paper was ok but they were a little hars with the questions e.g. the one about the testing of the atmosphere to see ozone levels were falling from the chemical storylines,

1. Cracking of alkanes

2. Water and phosphoric acid catalyst and heat at high temeprature and pressure

3. HCL, sulphuric acid concentrated, heat under reflux (I think this is wrong)
