I'd suggest applying for it as soon as you can, as it is open to everybody, and is allocated on a first come, first served basis

Not many do. Its hard not having an oven but college accommodation is pretty good for the money

Colleges and Parkwood/Darwin housing are the best value I think.

I seriously am the worst cook ever. I'm doing a BTEC Diploma now and I won't make the mistake to go on a self-catered hall again.

Fair enough Make sure you get Rutherford or Eliot then and its a good idea to get breakfast and then a microwave meal or a rice cooker or something (not an electric one)

You get £2 a day on your student card. At breakfast that can get you 6 items, or £2 off dinner (or just chips and a piece of garlic bread)

Thats as far as the catering goes I'm afraid. They expect you to eat on campus otherwise like at library cafe, the bars or create.
