Go on their website and download and send accommodation form asap. There is a section that says whether you have ever lived within the M25 area, but I think they say that they guarantee accommodation to all that put it as a firm choice, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks will do this now!!

I have a really stupid question about the whole conditional offer thing.. I'm still clueless.. !! I wrote on my UCAS page that I was to take four APs this year, but UCL gave me a conditional offer with a 5 in one AP and 4 in another. So does that mean that I only have to take two or should I at least take the four that I promised?
I know that in some universities, UCAS applications are initially sent to central admissions after which they are passed on to the individual faculties to make their own decisions.

In other universities I've heard the central admissions deal with everything. Does anyone know which system UCL use?

Thanks.

They go to the individual faculties  Each department has its own admissions team/tutor and they deal with the application entirely.

No, you have to take all 4 otherwise you will have lied on UCAS. They may only want 2 grades out of the 4 APs but the offer was made on the basis of you taking 4 APs all the same. You've got to take all the exams. Of course, you can risk not revising for two - that would still be classed as taking the exam (just doing badly at it!). But then you run the risk of not getting the grades you need in the other two.

Yes. Obviously it is best that a specialist in the subject that you're applying for considers your application than someone who has no clue.

Well you might have to send an email to a general admissions email address but if it's subject specific, it'll get passed onto someone who knows what you're on about. If it's just a general one like "I made a mistake on my UCAS form, can you change it?" the central admissions office will probably deal with it.
Anyone here heard back from UCL after their interview for Biochemistry?
Original post by viola146
Sounds like they want you to re-sit. Try ringing them up to check.

Mmm, problem is I figured I'd just work on my other subjects to make up for maths as I'm rubbish at it and knew with all my other IB stuff my score wouldn't improve. So I didn't/can't register.

But thanks, sent them an email a couple of days ago and am now anxiously waiting :s-smilie:

Well depends really, doesn't it?
How much do you dislike set meals compared to your own cooking?
How bad are you at negotiating public transport/riding a bike/directions?
How highly do you value your privacy?

I would advice self catered and close to UCL tbh. I think having a roomie takes the edge off of the daunting prospects of meeting new people and making new friends. I also think Freshers week is a real drag if you don't know someone before you go there...
Waiting now for an offer or rejection for Archaeology after my interview yesterday.
