LSE Laws offers - 2011 Entry

Scroll to see replies

My offer came just yesterday. I don't know why but I thought i didn't stand a chance at all, having gained only 3As(not A*s) and 1C at AS, whilst I know i'll be competing with people with much polished grades at GCSE and AS. FYI, I didnt even sit GCSE, but instead a New Zealand qualification.

Well, its conditional and as expected wants me to get A*AA.

Depends how good your personal statement in, but in short: yes.

I think there's a lot of talk about LSE being quite strict when it comes to gcse's, but at the same time they place so much emphasis on the personal statement and reference.. among many other things what they look to see is your passion, whether you're suited to a degree in the law and even more so at a place like lse. I think if this comes through, then there's no reason why you wouldn't stand a chance at getting in... saying this though, it's still difficult to know unless you are an admissions officer!

Good luck with your application! Can i ask where else you've applied?
