I have the exam infront of me.. got a spare copy.. teacher gave me today as we had a chem lessson.. just was going through it with class to produce an unoffical mark scheme..

But everyone did stress that it was a horrible paper, very synoptic heavy and very physics based.. which is bad for many who do biology.... Also we wasnt tested on the core course content.. so basically the exam was bullshi*.. defo a re-sit in the summer..

Right the GRADE BOUNDARY for this paper was released by OCR today, its:

The total number of raw marks available is 90

A -- 63/90

B -- 56/90

C -- 49/90

D -- 42/90

E -- 35/90

U -- 0/90

So they are quite low, it was a very tough paper though so that makes sense.

How low is the chemistry by design mark? it's like 60% for an A! :biggrin:

Yeah chem by design is pretty low too. I just wished F331 was a bit lower.
Is the 'mark' we get the raw mark or UMS?

What did everyone else get? I got 82.

Didn't do as well as I'd hoped. I got 69 :sad:

Could've been worse I guess :rolleyes:
got 72/90. Just scrapped an A. Its my first A in chemistry so I'm treasuring it :biggrin:

i got 65 and i COULD NOT BE HAPPIER YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!
On my little results paper, it says I got a mark of 51, yet that means I should have got a C, right? WHY DO I HAVE A D!? Anyway, out of my class of 19, about 7 people got E's and Us, and I'm normally one of them.

Wait, it was UMS, not raw, ignore me! Bummer, 3 marks off a C though!

Well, I wrote that sort of myself. I'm sure I can manage it at a later date though!
