I presume it'll be 4-4-2?

Fabio and Rafael on the wings and Rooney and Hernandez up front.

I'd imagine Brown CM with Gibson?

United bench:

Kuszczak, Giggs, Scholes, Obertan, Valencia, Berbatov, King.

Nope Carrick and Fletcher out injured apparently so with the midfield options he has...
Their bench is going to be poor as well.

Good. ****ing. Grief. :yucky:

Wes Brown centre mid? Disgusting.
Maybe he's a huge WUM and they're all fit? o.O
Will probably be more productive if we just stick Gibson and O'Shea on the goal-line:frown: Although the twins could give you guys some problems, they are quick and know their defensive duties.

O'Shea will be CM with Brown at RB. Twins on the wings.

Ridiculously poor lineup. You should batter us :facepalm2:

United:

VDS, O'Shea, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Fabio, Brown, Gibson, Rafael, Rooney, Hernandez

Strange to say the least.

I would say suspicious but obviously SAF has an ulterior motive here - it's like how he didn't play Owen last time and went all defensive for a reason :holmes:

You'll be very strong defensively and we'll really have to keep the ball well cos you're so quick on the counter (twins and 2 upfront). Don't see us keeping it well + creating with Denilson and Diaby. Onus very much on Nasri and Jack.

We are the bottlers in chief. Not feeling the confidence. :colonhash:
Could go either way.
The line-up favours them. 7 defenders when needed and 2 quick wingers when counter-attacking with both Rooney and Hernandez upfront. We also don't have the quality needed to break them down.

On paper, it should favour them tactically.

I think it's a counter-attacking setup, with Fabio and Rafael theoretically set to make the biggest impact. It could work too.

On the other hand, it could go horribly, horribly wrong. :colone::
Denilson AND Diaby, dear god...That said Man utd's line up has 7 defenders in it...lol
Ferguson knows what he's doing. They're just going to pack the defence and midfield as usual as they know they can't outplay us. Then when we've pushed up we'll just get hit on the counter and our problem is that on numerous occassions Denilson and Diaby get caught up the pitch and don't get back. Will be an interesting game as it really could go either way.

Good luck lads. You guys have almost a full strength side, if you want to beat them, this is your chance!

 Denilson and Diaby. Oh god.
Diaby will probably play off RVP, with Wilshere and Denilson playing a deeper role. I think that could work fine.

If Denilson grew an Afro he could probably pass for the 3rd Da Silva triplet :P

As bad as they may be, combined with Wilshere they should easily have enough to completely dominate Gibson and O'Shea ffs.

thats if they ACTUALLY pass it to him.

We had a shot :P

Wilshere is going to have to have a blinder tonight imo. Their focus seems to be on the wings, with the da Silva twins seeking to nullify both Nasri/Arshavin and Sagna/Clichy with their counter-attacking play. The centre is supposed to be safer for the, seeing as we have no Cesc, and what Denilson and Diaby create over the stifling flurry that is the O'Shea/Fletcher partnership is going to be taken on by the solid central defence of Vidic/Smallings. Thus, we need Wilshere and maybe Diaby to exercise their technical drives, and hope van Persie still has his scoring boots on.
best thing denilson has done in a long time
