(Girls) Would you work as a lap dancer?

Anon or delete please

With money getting increasingly tighter, and with a masters year to somehow fund coming up in October, I've been looking for part-time jobs everywhere to fit round my lectures, but there's just nothing available. I'm looking for a more full-time thing in the summer too, I've even been asking round all my lecturers to see if they need any students to just do monkey work plugging numbers to help with their research, but I've still had no luck with that. But I saw an advert looking for dancers in a lapdancing club, and the money is good, and the hours would obviously fit round lectures, I'm just really nervous about trying it, I'm just not sure :/ is there anyone else who's done this (or knows someone who's done it?)

I'd love to have to not resort to this, but money doesn't just materialise and given it's my finals coming up i'm going to have less and less time to job hunt!

I wouldn't do it personally. In the future you would probably look back and cringe/regret it. But if you need money that bad then well, it's your life. I know that some places have strict rules where you can't touch the dancers so it you'd have to find one, not the cheap and sleazy ones. But I've heard it is quite tough mentally, with people criticizing your body if you're out of shape or whatever so you'd need to be pretty thick skinned. Also a lot of dancers turn against and have negative views on men after working in jobs like that so that's something to think about too.

I am so sorry.
Don't do it. Not worth it. Just watch your spending very well and try to save up.
Also, just keep applying to jobs, eventually one is bound to get you.

I can see why people find it appealing money wise, but I think I'd personally rather have a massive overdraft than resort to it... :/

What's your masters in, OP? GeSLAGraphy?

jokes

you need to consider whether you're psychologically strong enough for a job like that, I imagine it involves more than just slagging around for half an hour.

real talk

godspeed OP
I would. It'd be a laugh and I don't actually see the problem with it.
It's better than ending up in debt.

"That old fat man I just rubbed my arse against smells so FUNNY AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
No, mainly because I'd be awful at it.
There's no way people would willingly pay for me to do that to them.

Yeah, but I can't pole dance.

I'm in quite good shape, and I like to think I'm a relatively confident person? Like I say, I'm just really unsure!

You're a man, stop trolling and pretending to be a woman.

You are severely confused, go back to sleep.

Anon because people like to attack those that slag of anything pornographic or sexual.

As a male I would lose all respect for any woman I know that did lapdancing or anything in the sex industry.

As for a relationship it would be a deal breaker. It's the kind of thing that comes back to hurt my kids. Some guy recognises my wife for the whore she is in 15 years and my whole family pays for it.

No thanks. Have some self-respect.
I would if I had the body for it...
It's good money, you just need to be thick skinned and find a decent place!
