C3 Function question

Mya i have some with this questions please with step by step details, thankyou.

"The function h is defined by h(x)=x26x+20xa h(x) = x^2 -6x + 20 {x\geq a}
Given that h(x) is a one to one function find the smalles possible value of the constant a.

Also it gives me a hint, "complete the square for h(x)", i tried doing this and i still didnt get the right answer. the answer is 3.

Are you sure you've wrote the question down right?
x26x+20xx^2-6x+20x? I'm not sure that's what the question would ask.

I think it should be x^2-6x+20 i.e. not 20x

Even if it was though, you would get a = 11 as the answer rather than 3.

the question was written incorrectly there was meant to be a space bewteen the 20 and the x, i was pmed the solution ty for attempting to help though.
