I'm confused on how i can get an A

How does it work exactly? I assumed i had to get ..e.g. B B A B and i would get an A the b's 76%/78% the A 85% maybe?

How does it actually work? Do i have to average 80% from AS and A2 to get an A?

Ahhh soo confused!

I need an A in politics and history..so far in politics i have:
unit 1: 76%
unit 2:78%

history:
unit 1:70% :frown:
unit 2: 80%

What do i need to get in a2 so i have a overall A?

Nopes, I'm pretty sure that's UMS marks.

I'm still confused. What that mean if i get two B's i'll get a overall A?
An A is 80-90% in UMS marks.

If your course is over 4 exams, each worth 100 UMS points, you need at least 320 UMS marks to get the A.

At AS, an an A is 160 UMS, assuming you're doing the AS of an A2 worth 400 points.

I take it you got

AS Politics - 77% - B
AS History - 75% - B

Assuming each unit is out of 100 UMS

you need an average of 83% in units 3 and 4 for Politics and

an average of 85% in units 3 and 4 of history
Your raw marks are useless in working out how many UMS you need for a grade.

You need 170 UMS in History this year (i.e. average of 85 over the 2 units).

For Politics, I don't know how many UMS are assigned to each unit, but if it's 100 for all, then you need 166 (average of 83).

No. An A is 80%+ so you need a high A overall at A2 in both subjects to get an A overall.

Sorry, calculations wrong: 83% & 85%, still means you need an A at A2 not a B.

No.

An A is nothing more than an average of 80% or higher of UMS points over 4 units.

So if you got

Unit 1 79%
Unit 2 79%
Unit 3 79%
Unit 4 79%

You wouldn't get an A

nor would you get an A if you got

Unit 1 - 85% (A)
Unit 2 - 80% (A)
Unit 3 - 70% (B)
Unit 4 - 80% (A)

However many UMS points your units are out of

be it 80, 100 or 120

You need to average 80% of the total amount of points to get an A.

Your courses will probably be out of 400

Therefore you need 320 points for an A

You wouldnt know abotu hwat i need in economics to get a B? :frown:

so far in unit 1 i got a D= 55% i think
unit 2: 78%
unit 3: E 45%

I have 1 more unit.

In history and politics i have 4 units.
