Hb concentration plz helppp

Hi,

I need some help on this type of question. How would I calculate this ?

If the absorbance at 540 nm of a sample of blood diluted 201 times in Drabkin's solution is 0.511 and that of a 0.572 g/L haemoglobin in Drabkin's solution is 0.325, what is the haemoglobin concentration of the blood sample in g/L?
(the answer should be to one decimal place)

I tried to work this out twice using the hb concentration formula which is absorbance of test*concentration of ref. prep. *dilution of blood/absorbance of ref. prep.

but the answers I got was incorrect, and I cant tell where i am going wrong so can someone please have a look at this. :frown:

I don't know anything about this, but just plugging those figures into the equation you give, I get 180.8 to 1 dp.

Oh okay, i got the same answer too, but i rounded it up to 181 and maybe thats the problem, i will try putting this answer now.
