Help, I feel like a retard.

Catchy title, don't you think?

But yeah, erm - I applied for my studentfinance, did all that shizzle and submitted it off - i need to provide evidence but now I've just realized I made the mistake of:

1) applied for maintenance loan, instead of the maintenance grant and it won't let me edit it out now

any help would be appreciated, anyone whos been in the same situation - how would it be resolved?

Noo, I know i'd get the maintenance grant as it's assesed on my familys household income(I think) but i don't want the loan.

put it in an ISA with a higher interest rate for the uni years and keep the change

I see, how would that work though? cus don't you need like quite a few K to get any decent return anyway
I thought that you couldn't get just the grant? assuming you were eligable for a grant, i thought it was both or neither?
