If a boy moans about something (in my case my bf wasn't happy because he wasn't muscly enough in comparison to his rugby team) i said he was perfect, he moaned told me i was lying got annoyed.

In some country size 12 is actually fat and nothing force you to be attracted by fat girls. Of course personality is important but you have to be somehow sexually attracted by your date.

I think it doesn't have that much to do with gender, but more how attractive/likeable you are. More attractive people have more choice, whether male or female.

I think the buzz word here is 'settle for'!!! No girl wants to be settled for, just because the ultimate girl is unachievable!!!!

The difference is that most girls I know dont 'settle' for guys with a nice personality and average looks, they usually look for a nice guy and if he's gourgeous, well, thats always handy too!!!

My ideal guy is someone caring, loving, fun, good humour, nice eyes... Ive found that so theres no threat to him, I didnt just settle for him because I couldnt get anyone better!!!

But if he settled for me and desires a big breasted, blonde haired lassy... how can I ever feel content in the relationship? He might find her one day and then where would I be?

This and This. First of all, people seem to be confused over the meaning of the word 'shallow'. It's basically somebody who only cares about superficial things like looks/money/fame and does not consider personality at all when looking for a partner. Both men AND women usually go for somebody that they find attractive, but if that person is a dick then they won't bother. That is not the same as being shallow. And it doesn't only apply to either one gender or the other.

Also the reason girls are so insecure about the way they look is not because of men, it's because every day we have airbrushed, unrealistic pictures of models shoved in our faces, in advertising, music videos and on TV. 'Unattractive' people are publicly mocked. Just look at how people reacted to Susan Boyle when she first came on stage. The media consists of both men and women, again it is not a gender issue.

That's nothing compared to what women write in the height threads. Nothing. I bet that most of those women would rather get raped than have a short boyfriend.

We all have our own types i would rather go out with someone who i am attracted then someone who is flawless infact if i went out with a rather attractive person i would be a little paronoid they would stray.
