sciences and fashion

Bit of an odd question but can anyone think of a way to combine these two, im intrested in sciences, mainly bioligy and chemistry, but also have a passion for makeup, fashion and modelling

any ideas on how to combine the two and also on how to get qualifications or summer course on the fashion/beauty side of things ?

oxymoron.

unless you want to actually create the make-up then you'd need chemistry, but then again there isn't much 'fashion' in there either
They go together about as hand in hand as physics and religion do.
Spray on clothing.

Physics and religion do have some links actually. You just to find them.

Yeah I like that one where the bearded guy walks through a wall of water.

you might want to get a scientific job, and read hello religiously.

You have lost all credibility by using the word bazinga
I have a friend who is in exactly the same position, she loves art and fashion, but she also does chemistry and biology. I'm not sure what she's doing, but she too is extremely confused, and it's understandable because they're two completely different areas. You sound just like her, and I'll give you the same advice I gave her - pick the one you want to do most. Honestly, I don't think there is a way to combine them realistically, yes there may be aspects of science that deal with fabrics or dyes, or something quite insignificant like that, but the two are completely different areas really. I doubt you'll find many universities that offer courses in 'science of fashion'. Realistically, you're just going to have to pick one of the two I'm afraid.

I used to want to be involved in the fashin industry ~the gucci group. I have long decided since then that i wouldn't find it challenging enough and while i still want to work in Milan i would love to work for the fiat group.

Thanks guys, its so odd, i love both and its just a bit awkward to try and get both in one course :P because of parents i didnt do art this year (As level) and its my biggest regret, i love it but most people tell me to go for science, and just do fashion related stuff as a hobby, i think i might go for the fashion side of things if i can but i still need more experience etc

any ideas on the summer courses etc ? stasiaxx said i dont know wether i would find it not challenging enough

I have found a course which combines engineering with aesthetics, it will be challenging and have the accreditation that i want as well as the design aspects, i know fashion and engineering don't go but their isn't really anything else that strikes me, i even wrote Alexander McQueen's name in my personal statement.

I don't think you will find a fashion/chem/bio joint but if you look at what aspects of fashion you like then you might find something which links the two. I almost applied for a materials and design course at QMUL, but it had too little core engineering and too much chemical engineering.

sorry, did I miss something, was I meant to post a diatribe for your enjoyment?

on a less bitchy note, my father runs the materials course at QMUL.
