Right now that's out of the way, please feel free to introduce yourself here. Tell us your likes and dislikes, hobbies and the like.

Hey there, you may have not seen it, but there's actually a very well established LGBT Soc thread and chat thread under the 'Society Chat' forum. Feel free to come join us.
I'm neither lesbian, gay, bi or transexual but I don't mind a bit of lesbian porn.
Hey, thanks for the group invite

I'm Ashleigh, 18 and I live in Northern Ireland. I'm doing an open uni course but hopefully doing A Levels in September. I like regular things really. I've got 3 cats and living at home. I'm bi for anyone wanting to know

Maybe you should stop being anal and start a male gay thread if it offends you that much. Either thread is acceptable.

What's wrong with having both surely more places to post and be ourselves should be welcomed. I mean on LGBT sites you have men and women's chat rooms/forums.

Because as you can see it embodies everything LGTB is supposed to be an escape from.
Nice intellectual argument you put forward though, I will consider being less "anal" next time

I agree to an extent that the whole 'male' and 'female' divisions are very biased towards people who fit neatly in the LGB box; there is very little out there generally (and on TSR in particular) for people who are trans, agender, asexual, genderqueer etc. It would be nice to have a thread for people who didn't fit the binary gender. But if you identify as female and are sexually attracted to other people who identify as female, I guess it's nice to be able to find other people who feel the same way.

To be honest I'm a massive imposter here as I'm genderqueer at most and identify as male on occasion :awesome: But I'm XX-bodied and identify as female for all practical purposes, so hi guys.

Surely thats a contradiction? So its ok to create a division between lgbt people and heterosexual people, but not for there to be a divisons within our own community.
If we all fit in the same box there should be no need for an LGBT society either!

I'm not trying to be petty or say there is no place for LGBT societies, I just disagree with your opinion.

You're arguing that this group is discriminatory. I'm asking how. Because it isn't. Especially if you recognise the fact there is already a gay community society thread that emcompasses all (non-hetero) sexual orientations.

The OP wanting to speak to like minded lesbians is no worse than a gay guy wanting to speak to like minded gay guys. It's no different frrom having Boy Scouts and Girl Browies. I just find people being overly PC a bit annoying. Can people not doing anything without offending at least one person anymore :moon:

 Yes this!
Hello! - Any lesbians have any opinions on whether UCL or Bristol would have a better LGBT environment?

Just one problem: Ladies only BUT you seem to have forgotten the 'T' in LGBT. What about the Transexuals?
Reply 18
There are transexuals who identfy as ladies and who like other women so think again

As I said, if you look under Societies and Society Chat forum, you'll find the well-established LGBT Soc Chat thread, which has many very friendly lesbians. I don't quite see the point in segregating.
