It's a typo mate, get over it. Any ****er can use the Firefox dictionary addon too, so this constant spelling bee that so many on TSR seem to participate in isn't very robust.

Just don't play poker if losing the money you're putting on the line hurts. If you're serious about learning the game, grind from the micros up, don't jump in at the deep end. I'm saying this as someone who makes the majority of my bankroll from fish like you.
I'll bet OP £20 he doesn't kick his gambling addiction

+1 but I got suspended from FT for verification reasons and i've been waiting 3 weeks since I sent my documents off.

To the OP, I make a lot of money playing poker but seem to blow most of it on sports betting and roulette. I banned myself from everywhere I could think of but obviously there are still other places to go. You can only do so much, the rest is will power. You could try GA?
Find something that will replace the thrill of gambling. Easier said than done because I know having won big ammounts myself there's no better feeling. But you can't carry on. Especially online gambling. I can't afford to gamble anymore but I just feel that it depreciates the value of money and ruins friendships and relationships. It's mood/mind altering. There are better buzzes out there which are far less damaging. It's not even about the money/winning, well it wasn't for me. But as someone who can take it or leave it now, (although by rights I should quit full stop) then I'm saying to you that the only way is to stop yourself. A fool and his money are easily parted. Always remember that....

I play poker for minimum 2 hours a day online and twice a week with friends (well poker associates atleast). I can't say that I am addicted but I really love the game. Don't know what to tell you man. Just control yourself and set some boundaries. I think that 30 is not that much for a week. Depends how much you can give. I usually set a limit of how much money I can afford to spend and I spend only 70% of it. If I win I win if not .. well atleast I had the joy of trying + the whiskey :smile:

But must you play for real cash? There are sites that don't have the real cash element which are good fun which you can still play and get your "poker fix". I don't think it boils down to the fact that you like, or love, poker all in all then, if that's the case. I think you enjoy the thrill of winning real money.

So you have lost £4k, but won in excess of £8k. Where is the problem?
You need to firstly determine whether you're addicted or whether you just play for fun. Are you in debt because of it? Can you afford to spend how much you do? Would you be able to skip a night or would you find yourself making excuses to come online? The reason I ask is that you're more likely to be able to stop if you understand why you play. Because you've lost so much, though, it seems like you should be seeking professional help. A gambling addiction, or any other addiction that involves spending money, is dangerous because there's a fine line between what you CAN afford and what you just CAN'T.

well i prefer cash or pay tournaments because the game is real then. The think is that you just need to control yourself. It is like drink/drugs/smokes.

I lost £3000 after profits.
Don't do it. I tried under over 2.5 goals on football trying to wait for time so i could also bet on the opposite of that under part.

I've tried blackjack, tried techniques,

But in the end, why do we see big shiny casinos in las vegas? It's because the house wins...not us...

We might win sometimes but in the end the fall is big.

One game we can win is the supermarket bargains, and that's all i spend my life doing with my money.

Then I'll spend my savings on little cheap trips on easyjet :smile:
