Would you send flowers to a girl you haven't met yet?

Hello, would appreciate your advice on this one:

- Met a girl online
- We will be meeting up this summer for a date
- Shes interested in me and vice-versa
- Her birthday is coming up
- She aint from UK
- I want to send her flowers BUT I don't know how she will react
- We been properly chatting/talking for like 4 weeks

Should I send her flowers for her b-day? Or is this over the top? Would appreciate any input from girls in particular. Not sure what to do.
You're meeting a girl from another country you met online. God you must be desperate.

She's probably only in it for the visa/because she loves your British accent.

Also: sending flowers is OTT and kind of sad. Maybe if you were living in the 1950's you'd do that, but not in 2011.

No. Especially if you've only been talking to her 4 weeks, I'd be creeped out.

Am I the only one who sees some irony the OP asking people who they've never met for advice about another person they've never met.

Haha, ask for advice, don't like advice, ignore advice.
Is she Thai?

Sorry for bumping up ancient thread.

But why specifically ask if she was Thai?
