Flirting makes me feel a joke!

I'm a 19 year old guy, and I've never had a gf. I've never even kissed anyone...even on the cheek :kissing2:

I know why this is, because I've never tried. I've never approached a girl, I've never given them attention - nor have I ever received any. The explanation for the former is my ugliness. I could never flirt or do anything like that because it's almost like a farce. It's like intruding into a world in which I don't belong. The world of love and romance is the preserve of the good looking. Trying to be flirty, seductive, sexy is like I am not aware of my ugliness and that I genuinely think I'm good looking while everyone laughs and thinks, "God, does he really think he's good looking enough to flirt?!" It's embarrassing, so I never do it. Like a pretence. Shamefully, the only suitable, yet rather contemporary, analogy is that Rebecca Black thinks she's talented whilst everyone laughs at her.

Am I alone in this?

We're not all as gifted as Charlie Sheen. In actual fact, most of us aren't.

Do you look at girls and judge them by their appearances by any chance? Maybe you should focus on your friends. You're 19. You've got a good 11 years on you before you need to start panicking. Who knows, you might decide relationships aren't for you by that point.

Here's a tip, read a book by a guy called Neil Strauss called The Game.
Its about a community of guys like you, who felt the way you do, who became PUAs or Pick Up Artists. Its a true novel, the guy was actually a jourlnalist before he stubled upon this group of guys.

Anyway seriously you just have to change yourself if your not happy. Save up some ££ and buy some designer gear like Abercrombie and Fitch or River Island. Find a male model and try and buy clothes that immitate his.
Self grooming goes a long way so get a nice haircut (like your model perhaps) and also make sure you smell good whereever you go, invest in some nice cologne and you will transform.
You could probably do this very well for about £200, but i rekon you could aim for as low as 75.
This will totally relax you, however the next part is down to you, you just gotta talk to a girl, find something in common, arrange to go out for coffee etc.
but yeah grab that book its a powerful insight

OP As other posters have already said, all you need to do is make sure that you work what you have.

That means getting a haircut which is both up to date and suits you. Go to a hairdressers rather than a barbers.

Then sort your wardrobe sorted out as well and that includes shoes.

Sort out any bad facial hair, bumfluff and monobrow you might have and ensure your breath and teeth are clean. Look after your skin and smell.

You probably would have made a really significant improvement to your appearance and would get much more attention that you might have.

Bad I know that people can be shallow, but if you just make the best of what you have, it will probably make you feel more confident and you'll come across more self-assured which is an added bonus.

dude, attraction is like subjective. don't get down on yourself. there's no such thing as ugly, it's a construct made by shallow, vacuous minds.
