GCSE Student "Whats the best thing about uni for you?"

Hi I hear my loads of people talking about how they love uni.
Whats the best thing about uni for you?
Is it fun?
The freedom and independence.

And studying something I love, without the 'means to an end' approach I took with GCSEs and A Levels.
Yes, it's fantastic.
But why care at your age?
Having a decent internet connection I suppose.

Apart from that there isn't much about it that's good. (Personally speaking of course).

Escapism, the fact that ur off the face of the earth for 3-4 years, u have no idea of the real world and just in a bubble. Its actually kind of a dreamworld!

The opportunities and experiences I have had (talking mainly in terms of employment experiences and opportunity to develop skills I never would have found otherwise).
£1.50 pints in the union.

But at least we have double vodka and coke at corp for £1.20
Freedom and independence.
I also love my subject.

Civil Engineering at Sheffield Uni
Like a lot of other people, being able to study a subject I love. I also like that you don't get looked down on for actually studying like you do at school.

Meatball Marinara but Steak and Cheese on Tuesdays.
The freedom, having nobody question what you do is good, finding out more about yourself too I suppose.
Also the nights out, going to the pub is all good.
Sorry I didn't mention my subject - it's allright I suppose I will like it more when I get more into it.

I enjoy the English side of my degree more than psychology but it's still interesting... but difficult and confusing at the same time!
