Want to meet someone (im sorry i know this has probablly been done to death)

So i'm in my second year now, more than half way through my degree and i really just want to meet a nice guy and get into a relationship. But i never seem to meet anyone i actually like. Uni's supposed to be one of the most sociable places so it just seems a bit stupid i mean im nice and fairly good looking, but i've yet to meet ANYONE.
I go out at least once a week, but normally im just out with my friends and alcohol always seems to complicate things (people just looking for drunken pulls).
I don't feel like i have the time or money to join a new society or anything at the moment so yeh any ideas/thoughts from people?
