Who will you be voting next general election?

Just to see the general opinions of how us students will be voting next general and to see how it will turn out

My opinion is that labour will get in again, double the amount of students will turn up i believe because of fees, cuts etc. and will vote anyone except conservative and Lib dem, is voting conservative or Lib Dem not in the question for you?

I'll vote Labour.

My vote at the next election won't be determined by who I support but by a lack of decent alternatives.

(and it won't be for Labour).

Hopefully Sinn Fein.

Depends on my constituency candidates. If I get a weak-willed Labour MP who only toes the party line and never considers the very notion of going against the party-line for the good of his constituents I'll be inclined to go elsewhere. Perhaps to the Liberal Democrats, Greens or even the Tories if the candidate is more in line with my views.

I never thought I'd recommend these two to the same person but; the BNP or the Green Party.

If we have AV - Green 1, Labour 2.
Still FPTP - Labour.

Lib Dem is completely out of the question unless the party splits into left and right. Still they'll have a lot of explaining to do - although it was clear from their manifesto they wanted to make a lot of cuts so I don't know why everyone was so surprised about that, but the u-turns on tuition fees and the NHS are horrible.

New Labour gave the financial sector too much deregulation (leading to all the economic issues we have now), I think they need to return to their roots a bit - this is where the Greens come in as they are quite like Old Labour in their socialist policies.

It will either be a Labour majority or Lib-Lab coalition next time round though - Ed Miliband was saying the AV will allow progressives to unite, hinting at some kind of progressive coalition perhaps?

I'll wait to see what happens with the rest of the government's time in power before I decide, although watching all the debates going on last year before the election (and not having a clue about politics before that) it seemed they're all as bad as each other, they all seem to make promises they cannot keep.

Maybe an independent candidate if there is one whose views I agree with, which I doubt. If there's no one I want to vote for then I'll spoil my paper.

Sounds like a good shout, I voted Green in the last election, if anything for their stance on changing the voting system. Where I live, unless you are in the tiny minority that "vote-swap", a vote for anything but Conservative is a completely and utterly wasted vote.

Why BNP? I'm not the only person that's tired of anti-Caucasian racism, it's the same with the Chinese and their government - I've heard so many times how the Chinese government discriminate against the Han in favour of others, e.g. ethnics are completely exempt from the 1-child policy.

My home MP (Labour) has a 10,000 majority....sigh. I voted in my school constituency last year it's been Tory since the dawn of time but we did manage a 0.6% swing to the Libs....again, sigh.

Labour create public sector jobs for votes and spend all our money and the Liberals are a complete and utter joke.
