Cambridge to cease arts teaching by the end of the decade

The second oldest university in the country announces that it will focus on science after government cuts.

After a decision by the coalition government to slash funding for the humanities, the Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge announced today that the university would move towards teaching only science....

EDIT: And if this is true, CLOSE DOWN all the unworthy universities. I'd rather 50 crap universities were closed if it meant Arts subjects could still be taught at Cambridge.

Art isn't a subject, and certainly isn't a degree. Cambridge should focus on science related courses.

EDIT: (For a place like Cambridge at least...)

I was convinced till I saw that the law fac was going to become a nuclear power facility ... then i remembered the date :tongue:
