How can a US student get prescriptions refilled in the UK?

I have the empty bottle with information on it but I dont have a handwritten note from my doctor in the US. How can I get a refill on my prescription with NHS?

You'll have to register with a doctor (GP) in the UK, and get them to prescribe you the mediation again. Your health insurance might cover you for the pension cost (ask them), if not it's £7.40 for all meds now.
