You have found a fellow American. However, I do not reside on the West Coast. The comment was intended to be a hilarious reference; Glad to know you understood it.

Any prospective Chemical Engineers ?

Hey, I am also an offer-holder for Chem Eng. I am trying to decide between UCL and McGill in Montreal/Canada. Have you gone to any open days/seen the campus? I am struggling to decide between the two very good universities. UCL is extremely prestigious but the course is not as good. McGill doesn't have a fantastic course either but it will definitely be more relaxed and probably have a greater social life. Know anything bout the social life in UCL? thx m8
LOL I can't believe this - I just rang up the admissions office at UCL after not getting feedback for ages and it turns out I was given an offer weeks ago, they said the message probably hadn't reached the admin team responsible for notifying UCAS / track :/

Edit: for biochem

Now I can't pick between King's and UCL :s

I can't comment on McGill but I 've heard UCL has probably the best social life in london. UCL is not a specialist uni so you'll be able to meet people from all sorts of courses. The course seeems to be good and the campus is nice plus in the center of london. I say go for UCL

Ummm I applied to biochem at Kings and biochem eng at UCL. I hold offers from both schools.

Course structure-wise, I preferred King's biochem over UCL's biochem hence why I applied to biochem eng at UCL. However, the school overall I preferred UCL because of it's int rep and since I was planning to work outside of UK I thought int rep was somewhat important.

Anyhow, all in all they're both great schools and perhaps I'll end up in the same school as you!

I have applied for Computer Science(g400) . UCL was the last one to hear from . It sent me an email near February saying that all the decision will be made by the end of March.

Anyway yesterday i received my answer . Unsuccessful and the reason : not a strong candidate. :s

I am really confused after this answer as the typical offer for Computer Sci in UCL is AAB-AAA

and my qualifications are : A* pure maths , A statistics and Computing pending , predicted A

I am sorry to hear that  Are you an international student? You said you've got A*A in Maths and Statistics? It's a good prerequisite to apply for it. Why do you think the problem is? confuse......
Have most people sent of their accomodation forms? Where is everyone hoping to stay ... Astor College for myself!
Am also thinking of going to the UCL Open Day (again lol) to see it again and speak to my subject department. Its on the 30th June anyone else thinking of going?

I'm hoping for Connaught hall!

I was thinking of going on the open day again as I've only seen my department not the library etc. but it's geared towards year 12's so might be a bit odd (but nice to show off with your offer ha)

Ohh yeah I was thinking of Connaught too! It's so cheap for catered and really close to UCL  It's my second choice after self-catered accom.
Yeah I think I'm going to the open day because I changed my degree course from Biochemistry to Chemistry so I'll be speaking to a different department. What are you studying?

thanks man. Have you been to the campus? What do you think about its facilities? If you had an interview, what do you think bout their lecturers? So many questions, so little time!

Yeah, the campus is nice and pretty much everything is available. I didn't have an interview so can't comment on the lecturers.
