Right I have 151 posts, now why won't it let me vote. I've been on TSR since May 10 so I meet both the criteria. I understand the aims is to prevent unfair methods but it is really obstructive to n00bs who are legitimately interested.
Hey,

Send a private message to the user Metrobeans - He is the speaker of the House and will help you out.

Additionally, it may be because you've only recently come into the 150+ message mark. So don't fret :h:

And what would an election be without a good, old-fashioned smear campaign;

This from Ham & Cheese; Labour's Shadow Health Secretary.

You joined a party?

I'm not saying you should join Labour, but should definitely come get involved :smile:
Anyone know how we're doing compared to last time? 124 votes in the first 2 days isn't particularly encouraging, especially since voting decreases as the days go on. I still say we should have a mass admin PM to all TSRers.

I'd like to join a party and be involved more in this. If I were to join one it would probably be socialist. How left is the model HoC labour party because I do have a love for Old Labour though (Nye Bevan, Michael Foot, Tony Benn etc) but since the Blair/Brown era they have become sell outs (even though in a real election I would still vote for them just to keep out the tories)

I totally back my right honourable friend in terms of a mass admin PM to all TSR users! Love the banner!

Each individual member is different, and the party is accepting of people as long as their opinions are broadly compatible. We have some people who would claim to be socialists and some who are clearly Newlabour so you would fit in fine. You may well find that the socialist party is more to your taste though and I'm sure you would enjoy it in there as well. Stricof is my ex-bf you see.

Your best bet is probably to look at the legislation both parties have produced (you can do this by going to the HOC subforum) and see what you agree with more. You can also ask specific questions on where we stand in "ask the..." threads. Finally you should come and post in our chat thread as well "The Commons Bar" where you will often find me, in the corner, pissed.
