Well I intend to watch it for around 5 minutes and thank them for my day off college.....but I do hear there are more Street Parties planned for Ed Milibands Marriage up here, I intend not to attend any of them.

I suppose atleast it's a day off
I'll be in an exam when they get married. Not that I'd be watching it if I wasn't.
And the thought of a street party just makes me :facepalm2: Why do I want to celebrate the marriage of a couple of strangers I've never met and never will?
Wo wo wo. Hold up a minute. People actually live up north?
Quite right, don't care.

Couldn't care less.
The monarchy brings in a lot of tourism I suppose but they aren't good for much else, the amount of coverage this has received is ridiculous and I am sick of having it constantly shoved down my throat.

What has Katie Price got to do with it?

Katie Price is always in the news and frankly, a wedding between two rich kids makes a nice welcome change.
normally you go to wedding, and you dont pay for it. this time you pay for a wedding but dont go to it??? what the f*ck.
when diana died (i was very young) while their was silence for her fuenral i watched my father drill a huge hole with a masonry drill, and he was not alone, others were heard mowing the lawn etc. around our village. and we live in the tory south.... people hopefully dont give a **** anymore.

The background that affords them the right to rule me? What about the people who cant afford their own weddings because of their background?
This is a hundred year old argument.

They hardly rule you. The Queen just signs legal things. It's just a tradition and the Royal Family brings ****loads into the tourist sector because people are fascinated by them. People can afford weddings, going to a registry office isn't that much. If they want the whole shebang, then it's their problem - you don't necessarily need a nice dress and flowers and stuff.

Inequality is just a myth. that MUST be it.

I don't have much interest in it myself but I shall be playing the Royal Wedding drinking in their honour any way

Inequality won't be resolved by the abolition of the monarchy. Or is the US a socialist paradise?

She does not get the same news coverage on channels like the BBC and so on. And speak for yourself...

She gets a lot in the newspapers. And speak for myself? You know nothing about me. Because if you did, you would know that I live in one of the poorest areas in the country (which I will not disclose because I want to keep my anonymity) and I get £30 EMA. Therefore, it cannot be said that I am only interested in the wedding because you have assumed I am a 'toff'.

If all of you really didn't care, you wouldn't post on an internet forum about how much you don't care, you just wouldn't say anything.

Jokes on you, the streets of London will be packed and the TV viewing figures will be through the roof. The same nay-sayers claimed the 2002 jubilee would be a failure but guess what, it was a huge success.

People like Royal events and ceremony, people like Prince William, the wedding will be a popular event. All the cynicism on here is just depressing and a little sad.

The only time I'd throw a party for anything the royals did is if they abdicate or die, both good but the latter is preferable. And I'm from South Yorkshire.

I'll take any reason to throw a party, this is one of them lol. It the only occasion the youth of this nation have the chance, nay, are actualy being told to have a big party and we're turing it down. The pubs are legally alowed to stay open late, what more do people need!
