Obama is a load of tosh, just like Bush was.

At least, he is taking steps to get out of Iraq.
^^ Fail. He's doing what "they" tell him to do. They started the damn war and they will make sure they get all the benefits out of that before getting out.

Chicago politicians are notoriously poor and quite often liars/dodgy

A DADT repeal and the end of defence of DOMA? More than enough for me. Yes, he's been crap on Libya and Egypt and other FP stuff, but that's what I expect from the POTUS; America's foreign policy of "we are the most important and we must dominate everyone else everywhere" makes me RAGE (and yet! I love Hillary Clinton more than I've ever loved any politician ever!).

And at least he's not Sarah Palin. America would be at war with every other country in the world (except us! because we're puppet's puppeteered by the US - look at Blair and Dubya!) if she was President.

The ignorance of the majority of the posts in here prove how little most people on tsr know about American politics and the way their political system works.

It's damn near impossible for a president to suggest a legislation in the senate and congress and then get is passed, never mind a 'leftist' healthcare reform bill. That alone is an achievement, given the hurdles he has faced!

I understand that he is a puppet and a liar, but its under his presidency that something is being done. In my opinion, they can "get all the benefits" they want, if it means less civilians dying/getting tortured as a result of some vile American soldier.

He's the biggest anticlimax in political history. Not that McCain would have done any better.

I couldn't agree more. It's on par with the War of the Worlds' anti-climax.

Looking back, I almost pity myself in 2008-9. After that speech in Prague and countless others, I foolishly thought "you know, we may have a President that will actually make a difference - a change". Wow, what an idiot I was. Same old ****.

Q-"What has he done for me lately?"
A-"Appointed more openly gay officials than any other president in US history."

Finally! Some common sense in this thread. I love how people just go on without thinking of how things actually work. It is easy to bash a system when you don't actually know anything about it.

He's a bland, wishy-washy right-liberal, probably with good intentions but unwilling and unable to prevent his bloated plutocracy of a country from plundering the rest of the world and enforcing their twisted ideology onto the rest of us.

Then you look at the hysterical, gun-toting, drooling-at-the-mouth teabagging nutjobs who think regulating the healthcare market constitutes socialism, and you're greatful he's in charge.
