Do you mean Robbie and Jangra? (the last independents I remember).

Robbie got a job and so wasn't active and Jangra left the site at some point but was reasonably active during his term.

Yep those are the two I meant.
So they just abandoned their seats?

Although they both got a seat as independents I don't recall them doing a huge deal with it.

I believe Jangra helped support a few Labour/Socialist Bills and a joint PMB with Adorno and I :holmes:

If I remember rightly Robbie got the job fairly early on and/or just couldn't be bothered - he's training for a marathon now. Jangra was as active as a vast majority of users I think, it depends if you think that because they are independents they need be more active or not really. I don't remember either doing anything exceptional but I think Jangra was involved in a bill with Adorno and I, and one of his own as well. I hadn't been around very long though so don't quote me on this.

Neither of them contested their seats in the next election no; Robbie for the same

Ah fair enough.
I think if ever I were to leave the TSR Lib Dems (which is very very unlikely) I would not join another party, I would have a go at being independent.

Jangra was part of 4 bills I can see at a skim, and Robbie one (with Jangra).

He did one with Robbie, one with Stricof and Adorno, one with myself an Adorno (TLP) and one on his own.

They can get a seat, clearly.

In fact I think I voted for Robbie XD

How many votes does an independent need to get a seat?

How many votes does an independent need to get a seat?
It's done by the d'Hondt method. So the candidate has to get a proportional number of votes to the number of seats there are, in order to attain a seat.

Ah a certain percentage of the votes?

Basically, because there are 50 seats, an independent needs to get 2% of the total number of votes to gain a seat (100/50 = 2, i.e. every 2% share of the vote = one seat).

As above.

With current turnout you wouldn't need many votes

At least we are keeping the thread in the sidebar :h:

It was Deputy Speaker and this was my manifesto:

When ever I'm able to, I will allow people to submit whichever bills they want. This extends to such topics as 'free blowjobs for the elderly' and 'every school must have a rugby team'.

I will provide various sexual favours to members who vote for me and will provide a free sub for all if I win. I will post a video of me trying to backflip off a cow into a pool of the remains of conservative voters - which I of course murdered earlier that day after luring them with promises of 'crumpet'. This ensures they will be fresh.

I will also provide recently aquired evidence that Adorno is in fact Grant's father, that abucha is I'm so academic's dupe and other stuffs.

Vote Paddy, because I said so; one vote is victory enough tbh..

Note: offers subject to change.

I received four votes, beating two people and drawing with one :holmes:

Judging by your response here i'm guessing it's accidental though :h:
