Fake lesbians/bi's
why do so many girls go round telling guys they are bi, when
a) they have never had a girlfriend nor would ever consider a relationship with a girl
b)when you ask them about their dream long term partner or hot celebs they only talk about guys
c) when they are in the company of other girls they never talk about being bi, they only talk about it to guys
d) the only evidence of them being bi is drunken girl snogging in parties or clubs, posed photos on FB of them holding hands with a girl making duckfaces or dancing nastily with other girls to get guys attention.
why? and why dont guys do this?
also a similar quesiotn. why do so many girls have their orientation on FB as "Interested in: Men and Women" when they are straight?

Maybe it's a joke?
Or maybe it's the misconception that being bisexual is cool?
To be honest, when I was really really young my friends used to act like a tomboy (and tell people she is a lesbian) because she thought it was cool.
Not that there is anything wrong with it. I just think maybe it's either a joke or just the misconception.
Or some girls just not actually bisexual, they just dont mind kissing with other girls and they thought that classes as bisexual when it is not. So they think they are bi.

Alot just do it because to many men it suddenly makes them seem all that more attractive 
Admittedly there are alot of women who are like that, who class themselves as bi, but act as essentially straight. If you are attracted sexually to both men and women but have only ever had relationships (with the exception of a drunken snog) with a guys and only will you can still class yourself as bi if you want to.

1) Could be asexual but bi-romantic, meaning there's not a great amount of choice out there.
2) Haven't given it much thought.
3) Alluring for men - from my experience, men find lesbians with a chance of "turning" much hotter than straights.

Not all of them are fake..there are quite a few who are bi- curious..or some who just want the experience and some who are actually confused. You dont really get a fake lesbian 
.but some girls do do it (mostly say they are bi) because they think guys will find them more attractive...becasue a lot of guys like a girl-girl action...so yeah those are the attention seeking ones..but you can tell which are which aren't.
The only reason i can think a straight girl would say she's lesbian (which i have done in two cases) is to get away from a weird guy.

Wait how do you even know this OP? How do you know they are fake? Who are you to judge what they mean or if they are serious?

and seriously? i think any girl who thinks her main attractive selling point is the fact that she is willing to brag about how she would get it on with other girls, purely for the titillation for men who she thinks would otherwise be out of her league has low self esteem, and is totally pathetic.

But yeah its an interesting point, i think there is less of a social stigma of two girls randomly making out whatever their sexuality than there is of two guys doing it. I mean how many of your female friends have never kissed another girl? I know most of mine have (ok maybe being Bi i'm a bad example), then ask a guy the same thing. But yeah, it's quite interesting i think. I spose there is also the fact alot of women don't find gay sex (for want of a better way to classify it) that hot (personally i quite like it, but yeah, i'm wierd)

Just because they don't talk to you about girls, dream partner being a girl etc doesn't mean that isn't how they feel, they probably just don't feel comfortable discussing it!
