Would/Do you call your Dentist .. Dr?

Dentists hold the right to call themselves Dr .... Do you agree that they should use this title before their name?

I don't believe that anyone without an academic doctorate should use the title.

I'm British so I don't even know what a dentist is.

Americans actually believe this.

Too bad .. A medical student who has completed his 5 year course does!
I can't recall me ever calling my dentist Dr... I call my professors Dr. but that's about it.

It's certainly a relevant and controversial subject
I expect the use of the term doctor will soon be outlawed and restricted to medical graduates and PhD holders only, so call yourself Doctor whilst you still can!

I don't really say anything to address him. I find whenever he ever talks to me/ask me question's it's when he's working on my mouth and I can't talk.
He insists on calling me Stace so I call him by his first name.

He doesn't mind.
Unless they have a doctorate, I don't.

I call mine 'Ms' as that's how she introduced herself to me.
