Well you get a few different types.. pre interview waiting lists should be over by now so I'll ignore those.
Post interview waiting lists tend to be dependent on if they get the right number of people firming them or not.. if they want more people firming them then they might give out a few more offers.
Then if they calculate things incorrectly and end up undersubscribed then on results day they might offer places to lucky people. But I've only heard of this on one instance and that was for vet med :dontknow:
