Lots of my friends wax and I have no issue with that if it's their personal preference.

Personally I would never get rid of all of my hair to convenience a guy. I'm proud of the fact that I am a grown woman and not a little girl and dislike the fact that men expect no hair because of the porn industry and the messages they receive from society.

I'll be honest - I do care about how I feel and how it feels for my boyfriend so I do trim and keep things neat. However, he doesn't seem to expect it at all and I think he prefers me with longer hair - he always seems surprised if I have recently trimmed.

Waxing and shaving are painful and can lead to further issues. I'm not going to feel sexually empowered if I'm sore or bare.

I've heard that shaving your pubic area can lead to tricky and painful ingrown hairs, to rashes etc, which I just wouldn't want to risk. Furthermore, can you imagine if you accidentally cut yourself?? Ouch! I only shave my legs in summer and the feminist in me feels guilty about doing it. I'm certainly not going to shave in more private areas so that a guy can enjoy the experience slightly more.

(p.s. sorry - this wasn't a rant against you, just what was on my mind :redface:

There could be several reasons for this...

- She might not want to shave/wax/whatever...some girls are scared of the pain down there/haven't tried it before/don't particularly want to
- She might not have thought it was so bad that she would have needed to trim
- She might not have been expecting you, as it were
- She might not have thought you'd be enough of a dick to actually be repulsed by sex because of hair...I can understand not wanting to go down on her but who'd have thought some hair would make you not want to stick it in her
