Kids, be free, no guilt, be whoever you are, do whatever you want to do... just as long as you don't hurt anybody.

Ah well, your respectful and candid confession has made up for this unfortunate incident.
Just gotta take the right seat until Friday rolls around again.
just do what makes you happy, don't worry about consequences or rules, and life should just be fun, not serious

My favourite culture is cannabis. So peaceful, harmless, and fun.

Live a moral, noble, satesfying life. That's pretty much it.

Ha - if only the first part of what you originally wrote weren't such a plausible world-view. If mere contentment is what people are after then, sure, risking death, enduring months of arduous training and the discomfort of space toilets are probably not worthwhile. It's disquietingly tempting to see contentedness and progress as mutually exclusive with, unfortunately, the latter contributing to the former in the very long run...
I try to be the type of person that when my feet hit the floor in the morning, the devil says: "Aww, ****, he's up!"
Carpe Diem: sieze the day. :king2:

I try my very best not to miss any opportunity thrown at me (a favourable opportunity) and do what I want, within reason of course.

So, what's your philosophy in life? How do you approach it? This is as general as it gets guys

This video is pretty much mine!

I concur for the most part. I believe progression (in terms of the ground-breaking scientific, literary etc progression) leads in the very long run to some temporary happiness or contentedness for that individual. However, not everyone will make ground-breaking scientific, literary or otherwise discoveries that will alter world culture. I am certainly not one of those people. Nevertheless, without the contentedness of the general public, those who are extraordinarily ordinary, the very slow yet ultimately crucial changes in ourselves and the generations to come cannot move in a positive direction. My intentions in life consist of earning a living doing something I enjoy that will benefit others, falling in love, having a few (precisely 3) babies who I will raise to appreciate life and all it has to offer so that they can be content and happy people who will go on to raise three separate families- and so on and so forth. Their children will come to me for my wise, useless advice, and I will die knowing I contributed to the earth, happy.

For the purpose of the OP's question, it is much more plausible to perhaps answer that how to live or stay alive is by finding whatever makes you happy, and doing it. Although it is in our biology to embrace the cliché, which is why the most humble of humans are usually the happiest.
