Also, if anyone could help me,

is

"And when the were all awake in the morning and he wondered if he had dreamt the words that still sang in his ears" a metaphor because the worlds were actually spoken to him not sang?

For the second question, no I wouldn't class this as a metaphor-more suggested imagery or personification again maybe (giving inanimate objects human qualities). :smile:
