why did nazis make the concordat (12 marks)

So I know why it was made etc but i can only think of the main reason so that they didnt have to disbanden but what other reasons are there really?

Hitler despised organised religion but realised that as the vast majority of Germany were Catholic it would be impossible to remove it from life without some major conflicts. At the same time Hitler could see what happened in Fascist Italy where their Concordat (1929) was made to pacify the church (at least up until the time Hitler made his).
