I'm not sure but I just find I work better with constant low level background noise. Otherwise I get distracted and try to fill the silence. I guess it may not work for everybody.
Nobody goes in my room with my white noise on now :biggrin:
I tried to give the white noise a go but it annoyed me too much, I prefer the tv.
So basically, use your common sense?
