I've got the prospectus, if there's any specific bits you want to know I could tell you them.

Here's an article that shows UCL's policy on AS resits, and justifies it on the basis of if you do poorly at AS, you'll be unlikely to succeed at their medical course. Cambridge I heard somewhere that they don't allow AS resits, although I can't find any evidence atm so I may be wrong.

I'm not interested in applying to those uni's, but I just wondered - how do they know if you've resat or not?

Not a clue haha. I know Cambridge sees individual UMS scores for each module as well, so maybe that has something to do with it, don't know about UCL though. I'm not applying to either as well, so not too applicable to me.

Maybe they could spring it on someone in an interview? People would have a nerve to lie.. ?

Yup, I tried it as well just now and it says:

"Page Not Found
No page could be found at this address." :s-smilie:

You could ring them up and ask for it to be delivered? I did that with UCL, Leicester, Keele, and am trying to get Newcastle to do that as well now :colondollar:

No it's definitely not anything like that, I know they can see it on the UCAS application from somehow, not sure where though.

Again if you want any info from that one or Newcastle I'm happy to tell you, I got about a dozen prospectuses from a UCAS fair a month or so ago.

For mine there was just a huge hall in Exeter filled with booths for each university. My school organised the whole thing, I think they do one for each area as there were hundreds of other colleges/sixth forms there.

Our school took us away for a week on a trip round all the unis in Scotland. All the open days plus one to one with admissions staff.

It was a help

Wow

Your school must have been rich - my school's so poor that they try to cut as much spending as possible... just like the bloody government

Not really. Middling state.

It's just that Thurso is so far north that I think it got a lot of support. Or else people would have ridiculous amounts of travelling to do. And it wasn't free, we had to pay ourselves, the school just arranged it

Did you guys have to sell raffle tickets to raise money for a summer fete at school?

In our school, we were forced to sell them - if we didn't, we had to go to our head of year and explain the reason for not selling them -.- - can't get much worse than that!
