Which one shall I go for? I have an A* in maths so both offers are AA. I would love to work in academia though I wouldn't mind doing something else after I do my degree. I was a bit worried about how stretched the UCL maths department seemed but I'm worried that if I do change my mind and what a job after I graduate that UCL will be "perceived" as a better uni than Kings.
UCL has the better reputation. And I'm pretty sure it's better than Kings for Maths..
I still can't make a decision. I think it comes down to: I would enjoy KCL more as I fitted in more but UCL would be better IF I wanted a job after I graduated. Haven't got long to go before the final date in May when I need to make my choices.

If you wanted a job? Anyway, I would say go to UCL. There are thousands of people at each university, and your experience when you visited will be completely different from your experience if you actually went there.

UCL is seen as the better university, in my opinion. That said, King's is also a brilliant institution, so you should really choose where you think you'll be happiest, because that is where you're more likely to succeed.
How About The Courses? Are Maths more difficult or deppen at UCL than at King's??
they are both fairly similar. They key difference is in some ways the course at UCL and KCL are a little inflexible (in their own ways). One key difference is that KCL do geometry in their first year whereas UCL do analysis in their first year (KCL start analysis in their second year.

hmmm its gonna be really difficult to decide on that basis though I did feel "more at home" in Kings but that was just one day.
