William and Kate not romantic at all

"The people who think this wedding is romantic are probably the same lonely women who use movies like The Notebook as a guide to life and swoon over ****ty romantic comedies that always happen to star Julia Roberts. To all these people, I think you should wake up and smell the roses: this wedding is not romantic in any way. Sure, he is a prince and she’s some girl no one’s heard of til now, and has no royal or aristocratic blood in her, but who cares? What does it mean these days to be a royal or aristocratic in a country like England? You’re filthy rich and everyone knows who you are. That’s it. Therefore, this entire ‘royal’ relationship is as much of a big deal as someone like George Clooney picking up some girl off the side of the road that nobody cares about and marrying her. Romantic, isn’t it.

I think people are just entranced by the fact that he is a prince, but have conveniently forgotten that princes don’t ride on white horses and rescue damsels in towers in real life. The fact that they are royalty isn’t an automatic “romantic” sticker on their forehead. Thus, this whole “romantic” bull**** is a clear reflection of how shallow women really are in that they only find money, fame and reputation “romantic”. Because meeting someone with a great personality but humble status through ordinary means like from a friend of a friend is boring and completely unromantic! Marrying a prince doesn’t automatically guarantee you’ll have a happy, romantic ending, you shallow bitches. Take a look at Princess Diana her prince married another woman that resembles a horse, following a reportedly rocky marriage. Oh yeah, and she’s dead."

So true.

I thought that their two kisses were romantic  :p:
You're not romantic at all.
it was magical
two toffs getting married, is not romantic agreed, the fact she wouldn't be with him if he wasn't a prince is also imo true, you can argue that point all you like (girls) but if william was a plumber, he'd be dying a virgin.

she did seem more happy to me also, william has snagged a fish out of his league and still can't manage to be naturally happy, baldness before 30, somethings money can't buy, for everything else there's mastercard

I thought it was cute.

Also, why are you anonymous?
He looked smitten when he looked at her, couldn't really disagree more.
But then... How is this anyone but their business?
Get over yourself. An 8 year relationship, of which they had to meet in secret, be escorted around by guards etc...but yeah she is just doing this for the money. Just because you can't get anybody doesn't mean other people shouldn't be happy!

Royal Weddings are romantic and always have been.
They might only appear that way in public. Off camera, they might be all over each other and be horny as rabbits.

Just sayin'
I don't think it's romantic because he's a prince.

I think it's romantic because they clearly love each other. While I agree it may LOOK as though she is more into him, remember the royals are given training to not show emotions (think with Diana died they didn't break down and cry in public), so Will is used to looking more calm and normal than the rest of us who wear our hearts more on our sleeves.

It was romantic  Previous royal marriages were basically arranged-they had to marry suitable people, for example, Diana was Lady Diana even before she was married. Because Kate is/was a 'commoner' as we keep being reminded of, and because they dated for 9 years before they actually got married shows that this is a true romance. Personally I think it's really sweet

I thought the reverse, when she looked over at him every now and again in the Abbey it was almost like she had to force a smile, maybe just nerves/trying hard not to cry I dunno..

Future King and Queen of the UK, with his father's history, I'd say it's our business..

Well no... His personal feelings aren't our business.
But I thought there was a lot of chemistry anyway

I don't think you (or whoever you stole the quote from) understand the meaning of 'romantic'. Romance is to do with two people falling in love. The fact he's a royal has nothing to do with the issue of romance, any more than if they were both 'normal' or whatever. It's romantic because they clearly both love each other.

someone has a bag of chips on their shoulder..
Christ, what a miserable git the OP is. This is the second time today I have had to give someone on this forum some cookies:

Being happy for people doesn't mean I'm sad and stupid.

More that the public aren't allowed to see it. During Diana's funeral, the media was banned from showing footage of the boys during the actual service. They did in fact cry though, think it would be pretty difficult and sucky to stop them from doing so.
