Kind of are though now he's married - she's our future Queen and potential mother of the heir to the throne. Another Diana fiasco could conceivably put an end to the Monarchy in this country

:/ that's a bit extreme.
But it doesn't matter. I just think people shouldn't be so intrusive.

If you televise your marriage all around the world, then you kind of make it everybody's business.

Yes they televised the marriage... That doesn't mean it's our business to strutenise EVERYTHING they do, and decide that we think they're not really in love, etc.
Either way, he looked very much in love to me.

Get over yourself. An 8 year relationship, of which they had to meet in secret, be escorted around by guards etc...but yeah she is just doing this for the money. Just because you can't get anybody doesn't mean other people shouldn't be happy!

Agreed, I'd rep you but I'm all out today.

More that the public aren't allowed to see it. During Diana's funeral, the media was banned from showing footage of the boys during the actual service. They did in fact cry though, think it would be pretty difficult and sucky to stop them from doing so.

Yes. But in general the Royals are taught to remain as dignified and calm as possible.

"The people who think this wedding is romantic are probably the same lonely women who use movies like The Notebook as a guide to life and swoon over ****ty romantic comedies that always happen to star Julia Roberts. To all these people, I think you should wake up and smell the roses: this wedding is not romantic in any way. Sure, he is a prince and she’s some girl no one’s heard of til now, and has no royal or aristocratic blood in her, but who cares? What does it mean these days to be a royal or aristocratic in a country like England? You’re filthy rich and everyone knows who you are. That’s it. Therefore, this entire ‘royal’ relationship is as much of a big deal as someone like George Clooney picking up some girl off the side of the road that nobody cares about and marrying her. Romantic, isn’t it.

I think people are just entranced by the fact that he is a prince, but have conveniently forgotten that princes don’t ride on white horses and rescue damsels in towers in real life. The fact that they are royalty isn’t an automatic “romantic” sticker on their forehead. Thus, this whole “romantic” bull**** is a clear reflection of how shallow women really are in that they only find money, fame and reputation “romantic”. Because meeting someone with a great personality but humble status through ordinary means like from a friend of a friend is boring and completely unromantic! Marrying a prince doesn’t automatically guarantee you’ll have a happy, romantic ending, you shallow bitches. Take a look at Princess Diana her prince married another woman that resembles a horse, following a reportedly rocky marriage. Oh yeah, and she’s dead."

So true.

This is how you react just because people said the ceremony was "romantic"? Wow you must be the best guest to have at a wedding ever

Calm down and stop getting so angry over nothing you whiny little bitch.
And anyway, Prince William may not rescue people on horses, but he does rescue people in helicopters! Ha.

Ok calm down.

However i do agree that she is a lot more into him he looked a misserable during the serivce am i the only one who picked this up?

I thought he looked like he was about to burst with she joy, trying to maintain his composure because of course hes a royal! Maybe he was thinking about his mum at some point.
I apreciate that everyone has different opinions but personally I think you are talking a load of rubbish.

Firstly,They would never had married each other if they didn't love each other and they clearly do, that is romantic.
Secondly, did you even watch the wedding? Did you not see William mouth to Kate 'you look beautiful'?
Thirdly, when they were in the carridge did you notice hoe William's hand never left Kate's?
Fourthly, did you notice that they kissed twice on the balcony?...I could go on and on...

You are either jealous of the idea of the royal wedding or just a bit misrable! Lighten up and why not try being proud of your country?! Nowhere else has royal weddings like we do.
Wait, so are you saying woman are attracted to money?!

Since when did this happen?

WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM ?!?!?! :lolwut:
It was so sweet and romantic and they just wanted everyone to be part of their day and see them get married , saying their vows to each other. William doesn't need to marry someone royal. Kate has got royal ancestors though they're 12th cousins even though she hasn't got royal blood. They've been together years, they both love each other.

Clearly the OP is not man enough to post his views without anonymous.
what do you mean nobody has heard of kate til now? :s-smilie: everyone knew prince william was dating kate, it was frequent news! and they broke up at one point cos she didn't like the press attention, so she clearly wasn't in it for the fame.

I'd have said it was the other way around tbh.

The rest of the Royal Family didn't. And in general when talking about Diana etc. they remain composed.

You seem to be under the impression that royals can't be romantic, which no one knows for sure, but seeing as they are humans like the rest of us, I'm sure it's quite possible. Charles and Diana should never have married - they didn't look in the slightest bit in love; William and Kate do. They waited 10 years for heaven's sakes, just to make sure that this was the right choice.

So it's not just a case of naive women wanting to be whisked away on a white horse.... and even if it were, how would you explain the [straight] male TSR population who see the marriage as a romantic match?
