Hi everyone,

I was wondering, would you like to try this with me.

For this week try studying for 50 hours.

However, If It helps- This includes time taken to understand the subject!

If It helps write out your questions on this thread(particularly for g485 physics, math and further maths).

You can also write out how much time you have spent studying- If you like.

This is just an Idea- I thought of. If your interested please donot hesitate to write.

Thank you

Whoever else participates I shall include you to!

The final hurdle is nearing- so let us all give it our best. Even if you believe that you are not capable of finishing everything. Don't worry. Think about it like this- whatever amount of work you do- it will help you, either by increasing your understanding or by giving you more practice so as to increase your confidence and knowledge for the exam.

I'd like to give this a try.. not that I will ever make it to 50 hour!

Surely 50 hours per week is only challenging to school and college students :s-smilie: If you're at uni. that's nothing.

Surely that depends on which course/uni? I have friends who barely do 5 hours... and if you take college as being almost 9-5 for some, that doesn't leave an awful lot of time to make up 50 hours!

Although I'm not doing A-levels this sounds like a good idea it will surely bring me closer to those firsts *rubs hands together greedily*

Count me in. Although **** keeping this for any longer than a week.
Well im just about done today I think I managed around 7 hours total. I might to a little more later but only really an hour or two.. so 43 hours to go alltogether

my text book really annoys me though it was asking for the solution to
(3+cosx)^2 * Dy/Dx = Ysinx given Y = e when X = 0
and I worked it out as 1/3+cosx + 3/4 = lnY but the book got the same equal to just Y.. After some thought I figure theres an error in the book..
I'm so in.
I want to join!!
I have been doing work but I feel like have some much more to cover

Lol 7 hours a day is what I'm trying also..But then we have to do an extra hour on one day :frown:

I have done 2 hours of sociology...2 hours of history and 1 hour of law so far..

I have only done 5 hours and am thinking I need alot of caffeine to make it to 7 lol

My eyes are aching and I'm having trouble focusing, but...must...carry...on..

this may not be in the spirit of the thread, but you're probably better off to give up for the night and get a nice sleep if you can't focus

Well I'll try a 43 hour study week, as I've done none today (as I'll only be doing 6 days).

I'll include lessons as well (as that includes time taken to learn the subject etc.

I should have put in some sociology myself today, but i spent the whole 7 hours covering maths lol Must be a struggle revising 3 essay based subjects , i feel your pain..and yet its funny haha. good luck anyway  7 hours is a decent amount per day i figure, might be able to get the extra hour in on weekends.
Count me in, i'll give it a go!
Got college all week though, and a long commute... but i'll see if i can pull it off. Need something to motivate me anyway!

Count me in, I've already done like...5?hours of Russian today, so yeah
ye go on then, count me in :P hardly done any so far so i think this should help me pass :P
Reply 197
Definitely in! I'm a GCSE student but still determined as anything to get 9 A*'s and 2 A's, so 50 hours+ a week here I come!

Good luck everyone. Remember: 'mind over matter'... resist the TV and do solid revision, it'll pay off in the end!

Much love
Why not.
Can someone explain the reasoning behind this? Is it because you think that, without limit, the more you work, the higher your grades will be?
