Hi there!
I'm a current student down here, what course are you studying?
Try facebooking your course, most courses have their own facebook page (departments do for certian) and people are friendly.
There is normally a freshers page set up around July/ August, on facebook were people introduce themselves, keep your eyes peeled!
Theres loads of events happening on freshers, and due the closeness of the univeristy its really easy to make friends down here :smile:

Hi! I'm a girl who's gonna study at Cumbria's university ( lancaster campus) next year, as an erasmus student, any advice? I would like to meet new people & get to know a little more about Lancaster, the university, & stuff, I don't really know when I'll move on, maybe at the end of august or at the beginning of september =D

Hi Natalie! Here in Spain, I'm studying English teaching training, but as an erasmus student I'll study what is called : QTS Primary Eduaction at Lancaster, Cumbria's university. Yep it would b nice to have a chat or text a bit, I don't know anyone from there! This year I've met some people from Leeds, Wales & Bristol, and also a family from Leigh on sea & from Kent, as I worked last summer as an au pair =D. Is it your first year studying there? It's nice u'r studying a similiar degree as mine. Where are you from? One hour to University? wow that's a lot ^^

Hiya, I had my interview for UofC, Lancaster Campus on Wednesday for the course Primary Education with advanced curriculum specialism - and they told me on the day they were going to make me an offer, I have already done my A-levels so i'm thinking all I need is a CRB check & then i'm all sorted. I'm jsut waiting for the actual letter to come through with the details of my offer.
I'm really hoping to go to this University, I have a few friends down in Lancaster atm and they all love it down there and really recommend the University of Cumbria.

I'm also hoping to get to know people before I get there. and hopefully see you all in September :smile:

cool that's nice =), Here in Spain english training is a three year degree, I'm on my 2nd year so next year is the last one, but as an Erasmus student in cumbria I'll study the second course of english teaching training or qts primary education.

Hi all (:

I've got a conditional for Primary Education with Advanced Curriculum Specialism with QTS, so if I get the grades I'll be seeing you in September!!

I definately wont be arriving until mid-September; going to V Festival and then Spain at the end of August so I'll be really ill for a while!! Always get ill when I go abroad :/

Where are you all applying for accommodation (if you are getting accommodation of course??) I'm going to apply for Waddell Hall as soon as we can apply (:

I'm hoping to study Secondary PE with QTS and will be staying in Waddell Hall (fingers crossed)!!

Cant wait to start in September and get away from home!! Would be good to know a few faces though, so if anyone wants to message me their facebook and have a chat they can :smile:

Hey I recieved a conditional offer from cumbria (lancaster campus) for Primary Education with advanced curriculum specialism (4 year). I'm confused with accomadation myself to be honest, i was looking at pointer house or something, hope to see you all in september :smile:

I think Pointer House is only for Post graduate students. Undergrads are on campus (Waddell, Gressingham, Willie Tom etc) or in Mill Hall in town.
I would recommend Waddell or the Mill, the others are a bit grim!

There is no ensuite accommodation at UCum Lancaster. That's why it's cheap.
In Waddell there are a bath, a couple of showers and 2 or 3 toilets in each flat - that's 7 sharing if I remember right. But you don't have a wash basin in your bedroom. All other halls have wash basins.

Hi guys, I am studying Primary education with QTS (3 Year) in September... Hopefully, just out of interest what kind offers have people been getting for the same course as me ? I am going for William Thompson cause it seemed quite good
