What did you put for the risk assessment?

I said to check if the user was asthmatic and ensure there was enough lime soda to absorb the carbon dioxide.

I put the lime soda thing and to sterilize the mouthpiece

Breathing problems, if any, and nose clip.

If it helps, I also made the same mistake? (drawing it straight) could really kick myself now...ONLY 2 MARKS, may have still got 1 mark for drawing 10 breaths

I would be very lucky if I drew 10 but I honestly have no idea how many I drew :P I just did them the size of the first and then continued them to the end.
Probably got 0 marks.
I'm just trying to forget I did the exam now.

I did hate that question with the

withstand pressure
exchange surface thing.

I was unsure with alot of questions so not that confident though I answered all the questions and there were still alot of questions that I knew I could answer.

Just wish I could get the grade now.

I wish the exams weren't scanned. I added something above what I wrote on the last translocation paper. You know when you read through things and add something.
They won't be able to read it :frown:
I wanted to write - create a diffusion gradient.

I wrote. channel proteins, carrier proteins and phospholipids.
I'm hoping the proteins act as 2 things as I didnt put them together.

why would phospholipids be wrong?
Its in the membrane :P

Phospholipid bilayer, cholesterol, glycoproteins.

I thought that was the most generous question!

im thinkin 40ish for an A

I just found this the most horrible paper, the topics I spent hours revising were in the test but with one word answers and made up little of the marking points. While the questions I had believed would be one or two marks were 5+ and they were insignificant topics compared to haemoglobin and mitosis etc.
I'm desperate to apply for Dentistry next year and I worked so hard to try and pass these exams the first time!

What does everyone reckon the grade boundaries will be?

x
Reply 176
thats like 67%!!! it will be around 80% so 48 out of 60 :frown: for an A
Reply 177
wat about the question on active transport where you had to write two substances that use active transport
i put:
sucrose-transported in the phloem
water and ions-transported in the xylem

i dont think its right???

In previous years the grade boundaries have been around 41-45/60 though! Hoping that everyone else found it hard!!!
