Anyone close to composing a rough draft of a full mark scheme? I'm sure we've answered most, if not all, of the questions somewhere on this thread anyhow!

Yeah you are right. However the question specifically asked for a use apart from fuel so you won't get any marks unfortunately.

Aw man you serious? Felt so smart getting that random use ;(

Exam stress makes u do funny things haha, i wonder how many did a exothermic enthalpy profile instead of endothermic ;p

does anyone know how many marks that last question was worth??
Original post by amyyy24
Haha, agreed. I tried to get one going, didn't get very far :dontknow:

Aha I saw that it was a very good attempt, I would have tired to help out but I have an awful memory

Ah a fellow Med student. Double HI5
By the way, the question on the enthalpy graph on the ENDOTHERMIC reaction.
It was definately endothermic.

And when stating the activation energy you have to make sure that its from the BOTTOM of the line where the reactants are to the top of the bell shape. A common mistake is people just think its the line above the line of products

As far as I can recall it was a ten marker.

Anyone remember how many marks the tetrahedral one was worth? I wrote the right bond angle and reason for tetrahedral but had some brain malfunction which lead to me putting pyramidal as the name of the shape instead.
Btw what did people write for those bond angles ... ?
Was the one with double bond triganol?
I completely forgot my bond angles

Thanks, fingers crossed the mark scheme gives mark for correct reason!

yes it was, no bond angle was required. they only asked for names of the shapes.
btw the first one was tetrahedral.

there wasn't any question on bond angle as far as I can recall. But instead the question was to state the shape around Carbon 1 and around Carbon 2. So the first one was Tetrahedral and the 2nd was trigonal planar
Woo yes, full marks for the bond angles! I was stressing over them!
Anyways im curious to know on the question on why to get international awareness on the incineration of plastics?
What did you guys put?
