Spoiler your comment like above so that it doesn't ruin it for those who haven't got that far and the comment you posted was extra-spoilerific
But anyway, of course! Naruto was one of my first anime loves along with One Piece. At first I thought it looked odd but eventually everyone catches Naruto fever - I even got some friends into anime who previously thought little of it just by showing them Naruto. Mind - it is a heavy shonen anime, but nonetheless a great one!

Lol, sorry, I didn't realise!
Ah, my exams finished today!Though I'm back at school tomorrow, but anyway I have more time now, so I['m thinking I'm going back to my Yostuba and Bakuman reading, and finally finish Mononoke which has been there forever... O.o But yeah.

And a figma and plushie of Azunyan.

If that doesn't send vin over the edge, he has mellowed out

it honestly doesnt :s:

besides thats nothing compared to the above poster proclaiming it as the best thing mankind has ever made in all its thousands of years of existence.:indiff:

Don Flamingo is a rather scary man considering he probably lives with Graham Norton. :lolwut:

Man I've been reading so much manga lately; I'm much more into it than anime definitely. So far in the past month I've read all of Gantz, HSD Kenichi, D.Gray Man, and The World God Only Knows.

In other, unrelated news... NEW COMPUTER OMG!!! I can play 720p (maybe even 1080?) anime without lag. This is the best thing EVER!

It's great when you make such a disparate transition like this. The difficulties you came to woefully accept are suddenly no more, and then some. Akin to exchanging your 93 Ford Escort with a brand new Bentley Continental.

Lucky.

I'm hoping to have saved up enough soon to buy a new computer. Won't need anything fancy, just able to handle 1080 stuff (my laptop could just about run 1080 Sakura, but I had to lift it up to help the fan, and after ten minutes it would continually stutter :mmm: ) and have a large HDD

why do you suddenly need to watch 1080p anime :hmmm: 720p loli not good enough anymore?
My new screen is an annoying size between 720p and 1080p; when I tested it out earlier playing Star Driver in 720p (the biggest, most action-packed and laggy files I had to hand) it didn't lag, but it seemed to lose some of the quality from being upscaled. :zomg: Definitely watchable, but I imagine 1080p will be best suited to it. Dread to think how some of my older series will look on this. :mmm:

Of course it isn't :unimpressed:

I have all of CCSakura in 1080, so I don't want it to go to waste after the time it took to get :teehee:

Also I hope to get a computer soon, my laptop is running quite hot all the time now :nyoron:

My manga arrived today :excited: Bunny drop becomes yet another series I collect. I bought the first volume about two weeks ago, only read the first chapter and could tell I'd like it :mmm: (I'd been meaning to read it before my next order to decide if I should get 2 and 3 :awesome: )

Great series. First Josei manga I read. I thought they primarily dealt with older women as a main character so it was surprising to see a man in that situation. However, from what I gather reading spoilers beyond the stage of the translations (though I'm a bit behind) it's heading in a awkward direction...

Supposedly an anime is in the works for next Spring, but theres also a live action drama adaptation.

see if that was something that really took advantage of HD I could see the point of it, rather than a presumably remastered version of an old series with some HD gloss.:s:

It did look very purty :emog:

:argh: I'm just not catching up on these shows at all. I've been in a "meh" to watching anime mood for a few weeks now :nyoron:

I can't remember if I've mentioned on here, but I had my biggest manga binge in May

Got quite a lot of stuff

Spoiler

Oh and I forgot about it, but my birthday loot :teeth:

Spoiler

:pierre:
I'm still watching Berserk.

I saw episodes twenty-two and twenty-three last night.

I am absolutely haunted by the entire thing. I feel like I can't do anything else at all right now. Roll on the evening, and I can see whether they ever get the whole mess sorted out.

Spoiler

Oh, and my instinct that his character was inspired by Ash Lynx from Banana Fish continues unabated. The number of times they've talked about Griffith as a SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE WILD ANIMAL SUCH AN EXTENDED METAPHOR FOR A HAWK in the last few episodes is unreal.

Distracting myself, I finished up another show from Aberanimuus that I'd missed the end of - Canaan. I'd been irritated by the slightly abortive nature of a central relationship, but I think that the end, although sticking to that choice which had annoyed me, was artistically sufficient to make the whole thing work.

Also, it made me cry.

ETA: What the hell, now I'm seeing Banana Fish in everything.

what's banana fish :s:

EDIT: I did wiki it afterwards and found out that it's a classic shojo manga but figured Id ask anyway.:dontknow:
(edited 12 years ago)
Classic manga, nineteen volumes, photographer's apprentice from Japan meets young gang leader, they pretty much fall in love, very widely read, credited with helping to found the entire BL genre by some parties.

Gackt apparently did a song about Ash watching Eiji sleep.

I was also drawn in by the premise, mystery, and fairly decent animation (especially for DEEN). Then it began to get boring. What got me worst of all was that EVERY FIGHT against the main villains ended with them running away after a few sword swings... so there was little action and no real excitement. :s: But meh, I'm not the target audience, and maybe the sequel (which I haven't seen) might improve on all that.

Oh I see. Well, the way I see it, they have the sort of honour and pride to protect that's why they don't just go about killing and fighting the enemy. I didn't read the plot properly so I just found out it has got magic in it as well. Woo.

I just found out the manga/anime Arakawa Under the Bridge is getting a movie and I think also a live action series. Yey! This is probably one of the anime I've seen that I don't expect to be made into a live action adaptation. I mean, there's a character in a kappa suit and one with a head of a parrot (or some sort of bird). Proved me wrong.

I can't wait for it though. :colondollar:
