yeh but i never said breed 'bbi' and 'bbi' .... i said breed 'bb' and 'bb' OR 'bb' and 'bbi' ....

I put bb, because if you had offspring it could have bi recessive... Then later in breeding, if another bi was present cinnamon offspring would be produced...

I wrote so much :/
- eutrophication leads to increased nitrate conc
- nitrate no longer limiting factor for algae who grow exponentially (algal bloom)
-prevents light to lower layers, plants below die
-oxygen concn decreases and fish + aerobic animals die
-amount of anaerobic microorganisms increase + they produce toxic waste e.g. H2S

- soluble nitrates leached into nearby water sources (ponds, lakes)
- nitrates stimulate growth of algae and cause algal bloom
- blocks light to plants below so they cant photosynthesis and die
- decomposers feed on the dead matter and use up oxygen for respiration
- fish and other aquatic organisms cant respire and so die
- anaerobic bacteria feed on dead matter and produce nitrates and toxic waste.

Algal bloom feed on fertiliser nutrients...
Kills plants...
Microorganisms decompose...
Respire and use up O2 in water....
Fish suffocate...
Water uninhabitable :smile:

but it didn't ask for 2nd generation did it? it just said that the breeder wanted to produce chocolate cats and having 'bb' and 'bbi' would do this. and so would 'bb' and 'bb'

No, I just assumed if he wanted all chocolate cats, he'd want them permenantly?
they didnt tell u to list out, they asked u effects of leaching

so u put more anarboic produc wastes
aerboic organisms dieing lack of oxygen etc.

Yes, but all those things are a concequence...
Plants dying due to inability to photosynthesise is a concequence...
Increasing numbers of aerobic microorganisms is a concequence...
Algal bloom is a concequence... :smile:

yeh the ones he produces from those parent genotypes (bb and bb) or (bb and bbi) will be permanent won't they? they can't change fur colour during their life.

if you use a punnet square with the genotypes 'bb' and 'bb' you get all all 'bb' offspring


if you use a punnet square with genotypes 'bb' and 'bbi' you get 2 'bb' and 2'bbi' offspring.

but even the bbi offspring are chocolate as 'b' is dominant over 'bi' ...



edit: just kinda got what you mean. but yeh i dunno cos the question didn't specify that he wanted chocolate cats forever using the offspring .... anyway its a bit weird, its like the breeder would be condoning cat incest. lol.

There was a tick in every box for yours? I put a cross in production of ATP for pss, becuase net production was 0, also electron transport doesn't occur in either anaerobic respiration or photosynthesis.. Also, the mite question was horrible!!

I explained the entire of eutrophication lol..
So the whole process of algal bloom -> less light for lower depths -> lower species die -> broken die by aerobic saprobiotic organisms -> creates oxygen debt -> aerobic organisms such as fish -> also broken down -> water turns putrid?
