90% of users who post in the medical forum are elaborate dupes of Helenia and Hygeia, who like to troll these parts.

I'll say what I want. Quote me in the thread where you have a problem with my suggestion and I'll deal with it there.

Hi I'm in Year 11 so I'm not sure about these things,

Your Grades seem pretty great, do you know why you didn't get any interviews, was it because your UKCAT and BMAT are low,(I'm not sure if they are, I don't really know the average results) or was it your personal statement??

Thanks

EDIT: Sorry I JUST REALISED THAT IT SAYS NO DISCUSSION, CAN THE MODS MOVE THIS ????

CHEERS, SORRY

Oxford was because of the BMAT/GCSE scoring.

Imperial who knows - I met the cut-off but they still rejected me.

Sheffield because of the UKCAT cut-off

Nottingham - who knows.

Hi - was wondering how you managed Kings with such low AS grades and A2 predictions, and below average UKCAT? It's bit making a huge amount of sense... care to share some background?

Yet he rejected it - i assumed this was because that offer came after he had recieved his KCL london offer. Maybe some dates, and the conditions of his offer would be of some help?

You'll have to ask him that then

And I read it as he was interviewed then rejected, not that he withdrew his application for that choice.. guess we'll hope he/she clarifies this for us then :h:

I heard about this at Medlink too. They make a really big deal about it, saying you can get in with 3 Cs, same with St. George's in the Caribbean. I made the mistake of displaying an interest in the St. George's uni and they've not stopped hassling me since.

Thinking 'it's a bit weird that a med school chase me' rather than vice versa, I looked into it. They have a massive intake for first year, collect some hefty international fees, then have very difficult first year exams where they'll then drum people out. If you really want to go, go, but there are a lot of other less publicised foreign med schools that might be more amenable to you if you look into them and you're willing to go abroad.

Yeah i understand what you mean! But the Caribbean does sound nice:P Yeah i am willing to go abroad, but then again it will probably cost 3x more then studying here and i really cant afford to make mistakes really!
Also, is it true that if you get a medical degree from abroad you wont be able to practise in london as a doctor? Cause if thats the case- studying abroad is out of the question! Do you apply through UCAS? If so, does it count as one of your 4 options?
thanks for the reply back-
