Aha thanks but i was lucky that my mum works in a specialist cancer hospital and had done many doctors/nurses a few favours so she pretty much landed me an interview
That gave me like 15minutes to wow the ward sister :sexface:

Lol precisely my reaction! She said it so casually to me on the phone, "Just come in at 9 in normal clothes but you'll get changed into scrubs anyway"
Was speechless! Now i'm not sure if i heard it or i made it up (she was on a busy ward) but what else could sound like scrubs!

Now i'm just not sure what "normal clothes" mean..

I do work as an HCA :h:

and I do enjoy it, it just isn't something I could do for the rest of my life. I have had enough wiping of bodily fluids to last me a lifetime..... :rolleyes:

I worked in a stroke/rehab ward so was really interesting :biggrin:

we also got a lot of social problems, i.e. dementia patients who can't be handled at home :rolleyes:

well never be afraid to ask for help, or to get your hands dirty :tongue:

just enjoy it and have fun. I love the job in itself, and it feels like it will give me an amazing stepping stone into first year because I'm so comfortable talking to patients, much more so than on my first day :tongue:

making small talk while wiping someones bum is now a specialty of mine :colone:

but yes, enjoy it :h:

you will get a lot out of it if you work hard.

Sounds pretty interesting but certainly not easy
Hehe hopefully the butt-wiping won't scar me too much (babysitting experience) but i may try to make conversation during it as a tension-breaker..
I think i'm still gonna be happy with whatever I'm asked to do, making a positive difference to someone's life has gotta be better than stacking shelves for the rest of this long year :smile:

And you know when you call up, what do you even say? Anytime I call and say are there any jobs going, or even visit, they just say no. I know they must be lying sometime...or are they?
