lol, i thought they were jokes. but I have a few very devout muslim friends who say it is haram because he is making fun of eid/the burka etc. Im not sure why, but im sure once the wahabi brigade arrive they will enlighten us.
There is a verse in the Quran which condemns/tells off those who make fun of the religion and say we were only joking and then it goes on to say how these people have disbelieved . If u want an explanation why joking about religion is like disbelief i can can give you a very very brief explanation I've only really heard about it in passing ....
umm i hope this doesnt make me the wahabi brigade i don't really know enough about Islam to go that far XD I just wanted to answer your question/'enlighten' you

Firstly , im surprised people are commenting on this thread that i totally forgot about.
secondly, I am aware of this- similar principles exist in both christianity and judaism. Regardless, I doubt that such humour actually detracts from the basic principles of beleif- and rather they seem to be ciritiques around the prehiphery.
Agree with Gabgirl, joking is not prohibited but there are even rules to what sort of jokes/humor are permissible, he is doing a good thing with the message which is only like 1-2 lines at the end where he quotes a hadith/verse from the Qur'an. There is a whole lot of nonsense that can be cut from the videos though.
