Speaking of Biggles, that reminds me of that time travelling movie of the 80's that was cheesy as hell lol.
More on the eyepatch speculation from Doctor who spoilers.

The eagle-eyed among you might spot that the soldier is wearing an eye-patch, just like Madame Korvarian, the ‘Viking’ and River.

Though the shots might have been cut together to be deliberately misleading, in the trailer it appears that the soldier is facing off against a Silent. Could the eye-patch be some kind of defence against forgetting the Silent’s when you look away from them?

Could it be as simple as a display that constantly shows a picture of a Silent on the inside so that the wearer is always looking at a Silent?
Maybe he plays chess with them?

That explanation (from whoever it is from) makes the most, if not absolute, sense. But then there's the Viking who doesn't seem to have a connection with the Silents. :holmes:

The viking is the villain for episode 8 - the Tesselectar.
Maybe he's not a Viking?

“I would love to see her whole life play out, because we don’t normally get that with a companion.”

That's because it's not very interesting, Karen... there's a reason boring, domestic life isn't often shown on tv, especially in sci-fi shows...

because it's not that exciting.

Frankly I was disappointed with how mundane "the only water in the forest is the river" turned out in the end. :s-smilie:

We know he's most probably not a viking - we're just calling him that 'cause he kinda looks like one.

And we know what the Tesselectar/Tesselecta does:

Furthermore, this shot from the trailer looks new and greenscreened. We know they revisit this place in, em, later episode. Perhaps. Some people are speculating this is the mysterious figure behind the hut on the beach. Anyway, it seems like a new shot.

Yeah, people have suggested it's green screened (at the very least it's a different shot to what we've seen before). I like the idea that the Tesselectar, given Karen's description of what he does, is the guy from the hut.
You know when you like make...porn names?

Don't know why it won't embed. :colonhash:

I loved the slightly awkward pause with mouth organ finish. Fantastic.

And as wonderful as Craig Ferguson is... the interviews rarely bring up anything worthwhile XD

Rory's 5 rules. Pretty cool. You can turn this into an on-going meme.

Spoiler

I'm really looking forward to 6.2 I'd say something clever but that pretty much sums up how I feel :colondollar:
From combom: In a new episode of Futurama - History of West Britainia, The crew learns the new history of America after they return from the Head Museum, and who do they see?

And can you spot the companion in this scene?

But... that doesn't look anything like Amy O_o
That's what I thought but maybe that's how she looks in the future? :dontknow:
Her hair will never turn that awful colour D:< I WONT ALLOW IT!

Although I get the feeling heads may have swapped jars in that scene, as there's a redhead on the left, near the back, who could be Amy.

The redhead on the left has to be Amy Pond. That is some ridiculous middle aged woman in the Amelia Pond jar :colonhash:
And now it's Smith's turn on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Nothing actually WHO-related goes on... they talk about SDCC, there's a natural awkward pause, and they talk a bit about how Ferguson would love to be on Doctor Who, and Matt wants it too, but Ferguson never gets any time off.

Haven't the entire cast been on that about 3 times now? :lolwut:
I think Karen has been on twice, as has Matt, and Alex Kingston has been on at least once (possibly more). I don't think Arthur Darvill has been on (to my knowledge).

Anywho - The Moff has recently said that he was thinking of bringing Jack back for A Good Man Goes to War, but couldn't because Barrowman was busy with Miracle Day. And once again they've said they don't rule it out for the future. Why don't they just admit it already - EVERYONE on the bloody cast and crew that has put a statement out to the press has pretty much said they want John Barrowman in the 50th Anniversary, so why don't they just come out and say they're going to do it...

That's what I thought. I keep seeing clips of them on that all the time, with different dates. Guess the fans aren't the only ones who are bored in the 3 month break (Which I really am).

No Doctor Who...Harry Potter is over, nothing to do with my TV watching life except see re-runs of Being Erica. I'm tearing my hair out with boredom. Also madly jealous because a guy who goes to my fencing club met Alex Kingston in London! Oh why oh why did my parents take me to Sheffield to watch the adorable German fencing team instead? Ah well.
